Q.  Can you go with a mission style red oak cabinet and use a red oak flooring in a kitchen and dining room area?

A. You may want to consider painting your cabinets to brighten up your space. To keep the “old feeling” you could try a whitewash or distressed look on the cabinets. Other options may include taking off a few of the cabinet doors and painting the inside shelving or installing some rustic, but whimsy hardware on the cabinets. Be creative and have fun!
