Small modifications to your home can make a big difference!

Question.

I am in the process of closing on my first house. The kitchen needs to be redone completely, but first I want to get new appliances. Can I buy white appliances if the kitchen is beige? I heard beige is more expensive than white appliances. Also what is the least expensive way to tackle the kitchen cabinets? I heard about cabinet doors replacing? Please help. I’ve never done this ever!

Answer.

Yes, generally anything other than white appliances cost more. You may want to consider buying white appliances and repainting the kitchen. Paint is one of the least expensive ways to change the decor of a room. To update your cabinets, you may want to remove a couple of the doors and leave them open. Try painting the insides a color that compliments the walls. Changing out the hardware on your cabinets is usually an inexpensive option, as well.
